Eligibility
To participate in the Texas Adult Education Administrator Credential you must be meet eligibility requirements.  To confirm your eligibility, determine if you have been assigned to an administrative role in the Texas Educating Adults Management System (TEAMS).  The three primary administrative roles in TEAMS are: administrator, director and instructional coordinator.  If you are not sure of your eligibility, check with your fiscal agent.

Getting Started
Prior to enrolling in the Administrator Credential, administrators will complete the Introductory Activity.  Introductory Activities are available both electronically and face-to-face.  Contact the Credential Project at aecredential@txstate.edu to begin the enrollment process.

The Enrollment Process

• Step 1. Complete an Introductory Activity.
• Step 2. Submit a Letter of Intent to the Credential Project.
• Step 3. Obtain a Letter of Support from your administrator and submit it to the Credential Project.
• Step 5. Complete and submit a TEA Secure Environment (TEASE) Application to gain access to The Credential Information Tracking System (CredITS).  The Tease application is submitted to Texas LEARNS.
• Step 6. Ask your fiscal agent to enroll or “assign” you in CredITS.
