Colorado's Even Start has kindly allowed Texas to post their Family Literacy Booklets in English and Spanish. These booklets are helpful for recruitment for your family literacy programs. In addition, the booklets can help explain in very simple language what Even Start family literacy involves. They must be printed out, cut and assembled.

Under an agreement with Texas Education Agency, Texas LEARNS, housed in the Harris County Department of Education (http://www.hcde-texas.org/), provides nondiscretionary grant management functions, program assistance and other statewide support services to Texas Adult Education and Family Literacy Providers. The TEA Division of Discretionary Grants continues to be responsible for all discretionary, policy, and monitoring functions.
