PD Initiative


The Birth Through Two Institute is all about Research --research that helps us know how to help Even Start families with Infants' and Toddlers':

Physical Development,

Research also shows us that Physical Development, Language Development, and Social-Emotional Development are all inter-related. For example…

  • As children develop physically they are able to perform more complicated tasks…such as learning to sing a song and clap to the beat, which is language development!

  • Language development allows children to “use their words” so that everyone plays nicely together, which is social-emotional development!

  • And…Parents playing with their young children integrates physical development, language development and social-emotional development!
