Summit (May, 2009), Round Rock, TX

A summit of key adult education providers in Texas was held to discuss the access and barriers to assisting Adult Basic Education (ABE), English as a Second Language (ESL), and Adult Secondary Education (ASE) students in successfully transitioning to postsecondary education.  Adult education programs in Texas were invited to participate in the summit.   We had over 52 programs represented.   The Summit was held at the Round Rock Higher Education Center in Round Rock, Texas.   Focus groups were conducted according to organization:  Education Service Centers/Independent School Districts/Community Based Organizations; Community Colleges, and State Leadership projects.
